George Ottley FBDO

Senior Dispensing Optician

George started working for Wilkinsons in 1975 at the Orpington practice. In 1978 the company opened the Bromley branch near the Odeon Cinema, and he undertook the responsibility of building the practice from scratch. In 1995 the practice was relocated to its present position.  Many long-standing patients view him as part of the fixtures and fittings.  George loves to travel the World and sample exotic cuisines.

John Wood BSc (Hons) FCOptom

Senior Optometrist

John has been with Wilkinsons since 1982.  His excellent contact lens work led him to fit and develop contact lenses for the group.   Many patients have had a lifestyle change due to his specialty and knowledge.

He originally started at the Bromley branch and was responsible for greatly increasing our contact lens business as well as becoming a solid member of our staff. After some years he reduced his time at Bromley and became the company’s Senior Contact Lens Specialist responsible for promoting lenses at all our branches. Gradually over the years other Contact Lens Opticians have joined the company and subsequently he has now settled back at Bromley on a more permanent basis. He still maintains his position as a senior contact lens specialist in the company which greatly helps the Bromley practice.
