Practice Manager

Jennie Mapp FBDO

Jennie qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 1989, and joined Wilkinsons in 2000. She initially joined the company as a mobile Practice Manager, but settled as Practice Manager in Tonbridge in 2005.

Jennie is also a project volunteer for Vision Aid Overseas, a charity which takes eye care and eye wear to third world countries. She has travelled to Burkina Faso, West Africa, twice with VAO, and looks forward to future projects.

Away from work, Jennie is an active member of her local Church. She plays flute in the band there, and enjoys a varied social life connected with the Church. Jennie has been married to Vernon for 18 years, and they also have a cat, Foggy.

Principal Optometrist

Pam Dymond BSc(Hons) FCOptom

Pam has worked for Wilkinsons since 1976. She trained at City University and completed her pre-registration and some further time with a family group of optometrists in Middlesex before arriving at Tonbridge. Pam has remained with the company as she likes the professional working environment offered by a family controlled group.  In her time at Wilkinsons she has been responsible for the pre-registration period of 10 ophthalmic students. Pam sees patients of all ages but has a special interest in paediatric optometry and frequently sees children with dyslexia and dyspraxia.

Pam married John in 1983 and they have two daughters both living at home while completing their education. She is an active member of St Marks Church in Tunbridge Wells. Charity work has included eye examinations of the homeless. Pam’s hobbies include time with the family, gardening and photography.
